You're incorrect. The federal government ruled in several cases that a CEO has a fiduciary responsibility to assign a patent to the company he works for when the patent is in direct line with the business that company seeks. Has nothing to do with state law. It's a federal issue. You can not be a CEO of a company that produces toothbrushes, then invent a new unique toothbrush and try to personally profit from it.

I don't have to pursue anything, I'm confident that an entity that is known for taking on public companies will take on the issue when the issue becomes profitable.
