Guess What Happens When These Home Intruders Don't Listen to Armed Homeowner's Warnings

It’s important not to lose sight of why we bring you these stories of armed home intruders and armed homeowners. The mainstream media are saturated with stories of murders and armed robberies, mostly involving defenseless victims. The more shocking and bloody the better for the media’s ratings.
And yes, there might also be an agenda behind publicizing such events. If all people see are instances of “gun violence,” viewers will be more receptive to gun control. Or so they hope.
The national media don’t really see the sense in bringing up stories involving responsibly armed civilians defending themselves from those who seek to do harm. But those stories underscore the importance of responsible gun ownership and the dangers of gun control, and they counteract the gun control propaganda. The Blaze reported:
In the space of five days the city of Memphis, Tennessee, has seen its second fatal shooting by a homeowner against reported armed home intruders.
TheBlaze reported the first instance which occurred Tuesday when a woman answered a knock at a front door. When two men reportedly forced their way in — one of them putting a gun to her neck — the homeowner fired multiple shots at them. One alleged intruder died and the other escaped.
On Saturday a similar scenario went down about 9 miles southeast of Tuesday’s shooting when three suspected burglars — two of them armed — entered a residence, WREG-TV reported.
But this homeowner was armed, too. And he reportedly gave a verbal warning to the trio not to take another step toward him — but they refused, WREG reported.
So the homeowner fired several shots, killing two men — Jordan Mitchell, 18, and Melvin Atkins, 20, the station said. The third alleged intruder got away, WREG said.
One neighbor told WREG that the homeowner simply wanted to protect himself.
“Anybody with common sense, if you walk in your house and there’s two people in there ain’t got no business in there, got guns, you’d do the same thing he did,” the neighbor told the station.
Antonio Ventura, a father of two, told WREG he’s concerned his home might be next, adding that the homeowner who fired the fatal shots has been targeted before.
“This is the second time it happened to him cause the last time not long ago, maybe like a year ago I hear he came back from work and somebody followed him and beat him up and they took his truck and run away,” Ventura told WREG.
Police are looking for the third suspect, the station noted, adding that no charges had been filed against the homeowner.
We don’t know the details of that last occurrence where the man was followed, beat up, and had his truck stolen, but maybe that’s what prompted the guy to get a gun. Hopefully, no one will try to mess with him again, unless they want to get shot too.
I think this is good news. Not necessarily that criminals were shot to death, but that two homeowners were able to protect themselves, their families and their homes with firearms. Sometimes it’s necessary to do all that at the expense of a criminal’s life.
