During December 23 and 24, this month, the Court of Appeals granted a request for expedited mandate for Mr. Bourque. This mandate, as one of my attorney friends explains, is a directive from the Court of Appeals to the Superior Court to expedite the release of JB from prison.

According to the Arizona Department of Corrections JB is still a resident as of Dec 30, but then it takes some time for the Superior Court and Department of Corrections to process this.

Maybe JB will celebrate Happy New Year at home this year. If so, I hope do so in a wise and careful manner.
