An ABC Down move is a Technical term, used by Chartists and Technicians. http://stockcharts.com/school/data/media/chart_school/market_analysis/elliott_wave_theory/ew_basics/ewb-02-ibm3.png It is a long established theory, that stocks move up and down in an ABC sequence. ABC Down moves are followed by ABC up moves, within a Wave sequence. If you're able to get into a stock just as it has fallen to the C level, you have a perfect set-up to catch the ABC up move. These ABC moves occur in different time frames. They can be minute, hour, daily, weekly, and monthly ABC Downs. Traders who look for short-term gains on their Plays, use the smaller time frames in looking for theses ABC Down moves. That is what I like to do. I don't want to tie my money up for a long period of time. I want to get in, and get out, and go to the next Play. Hope this helped you. Good Luck !!
