did I say Republicans? No I said conservatives. Maybe you do not realize that in the last 100 years parties have changed. Southern Dems in the 40's 50's 60 and 70's many were racist bigots along with their republican counterparts and differed on solving issued financially. Northern Republicans were very liberal socially but conservatives fiscally. But throughout our history it has been conservatives, you know the people you like to rub elbows with, that have opposed things like civil rights, voting rights or maybe you are proud of what conservatives did there? How abut women's right to vote as well as opposing title 9. How about Social Security or Medicare?
BTW - the clean water act was opposed by Conservatives and only got passed with liberal and moderate support as well as the EPA. As for ending the Vietnam war you are kidding me right? You really think conservatives wanted to end that war or any effing war? Do you think liberals opposed ending that war? Are you thinking clearly. It was liberals who protested that war or maybe you think it was conservatives. LOL
I can't think of anything you have listed that liberal opposed. Do you think Bush would have gotten his free Drug prescription plan passed without liberal support? Hell more liberals and moderates voted for it than conservatives.
