Certainly back in the day you are most correct, but things changed and regulations changed and new reporting systems were developed and well this simply isnt the case anymore. By the way OTC securities didnt trade in a "pit", in fact they used to have a phone desk at the NASDAQ, but that also has gone away many.. many... many years ago. Yes MMs trade on exchanges so the "pit" analogy is correct when discussing exchange traded securities.

The OTCBB was an electronic quotation and trading system, it no longer exists. The OTC markets is an electronic quotation and trading system, from trade inception to trade settlement. Excluding a manual trade per customer requirements no individual . So lets keep the topic to current day of what GNCP trades upon, not the glory days of a market that no longer exists.
