Grosse Pointe is a very rich area in Michigan. My wifes uncle and brother bought 13 small commercial buildings years ago. One was being leased to two Doctors. They improved the property and added on making the over all land buildings worth a lot more. The joke was, after renovations the square footage more than doubled, hence the brothers had no choice but to raise the rent to the two doctors. Irony I know. Anyway Kathy lives in a very up tick neighborhood. That being said, at least I know she has money. How else could Jim and her afford to not take a salary all those years?
