This week when checking Value LIne's latest edition I noted that their "Worst Performers - Latest 13 Weeks" list contained 22 companies that are Energy related. That's 22 out of a list of 41 stocks. Rarely do we see such an example of extreme sector weakness. Past experience has shown such times to indicate a short term "over-sold" condition specific to the sector.
I'm still seeing some weakness in the nat gas area, but the rest of the sector seems to have found some firmer ground on which to stand.
