Samsung and Apple are losing the China market

Lenovo’s decision to start selling an “Intel Inside” smart phone in China because the competitor’s products are subject to a 25% taxes when Intel’s products are taxes free (see my previous posts on the subject).

In addition to the tax issue, China decided to discourage the use of processors from companies that were not willing to let the Chinese examine their product to insure they are safe. Intel is building a phub in China that will produce old generation products for sale in China. Samsung and Apple processor are losing the China market.
