That's easy to answer. Value is created by more than just the PPS. Yes some/most shareholders only care about the PPS. However moving the science forward does create value even if it's not currently reflected in the PPS.

Secondly some long are not thrilled with GC. Some are more vocal about it than others. I think it's unwise if one is long to publicly bash your quarterback...that approach hasn't gone over well for the Chicago Bears recently.

But that only my opinion.
