thoughtful point. alternatively, it solves some problems but not others. in which case maybe identify the things it solves and talk about them. weak coffee that mitigates the issue of staying awake at night for insomniacs isn't easy to sell. but decaf has a market. i usually don't micro-judge marketing issues. but mitigate is a worryingly weak word. and as you say, maybe the quality of the product defines the word choice. that's the sort of thing i would guess as a customer. improves your security is way better than mitigates your security problem.
