I'm afraid chasing the Renaissance rabbit down the hole is a fools errand. REIT is run by Jim Simmons, an MIT type that makes the typical Wall Street quant look like a guy failing high school math.

RIET is a conglomeration of several "funds" all of which are based on complex mathematical models which are derived from elementary principles such as string theory or wave forms predicted from Einstein theories concerning the formation of the universe. Simmons is a serious mathematician of the highest order. REITs PHDs use multiple strats which look for non random patterns in trades, and literally trade every thing that can be traded from obscure derivatives, commodities, and equities.

Hamburg is married to Brown who is also a quant and one of Simmons lieutenants. Brown owns 5% or more interest in RIET and that means the couples net worth is grossly underestimated. Interpretation..She does not seem like someone who could be easily bribed.

I suggest we consider the possibility she might not be up on the Amarin situation...She is a grad of HMS, probably very busy, I'l try another letter.
