I sort of understand what you are saying.

I can't answer the question about where we would be?

Here's how I see it. We can whine and bitch all we want. The world doesn't need that, it needs solutions, and the gumption to make those solutions work.

I came from common stock. My parents worked for what they have and we learned to live modestly. We didn't live bad, in fact, we lived well. I can't wish myself rich, and talking bad about the rich isn't making me any wealthier. My energy is better spent researching, studying, and figuring out how to make the most out of what I have. If you can't beat them, join them type of thing.

It's not a perfect world. Nature is as close to perfect as it gets, and if you are on the bottom of the food chain? It's still not all that great.
