That's exactly my frustration. But communication has throughout the years been the weak link in the system.

Having said that, it's pretty logical that nothing could be said openly about KSA until the deal was on the brink of finalization (which apparently is the case now). No negotiations of this type are done in the open, for a myriad of reasons.

On the other hand, perhaps Ed could have issued a vague statement like "we have opened discussions with a foreign country that has expressed interest in the AS technology", and left it at that. But it is exactly that type of vague statement that has caused so much anguish in the past, both for him and for us, and created the credibility gap. So I guess Ed opted not to do that earlier.

Concerning the EPA, there had been a long-standing concern that "going public" about the tortuous journey would backfire. Apparently the new lawyer gave them the green light now.

I guess our frustration is really a build-up from years of inadequate communication, which created the credibility gap in the first place, necessitating the silence that we had to endure.

It's good to be able to look forward with a sense of anticipation. I'd almost forgotten what that feels like.
