Peg- I know about much of that. The large investment banks have actually purchased warehouses and hold physical commodities like copper and aluminum. They have been caught moving the materials from one warehouse to another to fool inspectors. I have read they control enough physical to sway prices on the exchanges. Regulators and congress are aware but do nothing about it.
