AM gave his blessing very very early right after he was 1st hired to a very small development team to R&D the alum truck. Then gave a full on green light quickly after initial specs. This was a long long time ago. It didn't make the mainstream media. But- I was watching with a grin on my face for many years as the pps climbed and products were redesigned, tested and rolled out. When he retired out to the Golden Pond I knew there would be some chop. So one day I was out sailing around the leeward side of San Miguel Island in my 70' sail and a 30kt SE'r squall blew in with 8 ft swells and a fast 7 second interval... as I rounded SMI and tacked you only get one chance- I pointed her bow and shot for homeport across a nasty Santa Barbara Channel. Sometimes when you ride her a long time and you've been around the block you gain a sense of when it's your time to tack. Being a sailer who has circumnavigated the world twice it's an invisible entity the wind you can't ever see her; however you can feel and anticipate her when she's coming then when she's leaving. AM exited and I suspected that it would be manipulated to climb higher for him as a bonus Xmas present to cash in some of his chips. But, unfortunately I am going to have to decline the specifics of how I analyze and interpret the data as to why I sold out within a few pennies of the glass ceiling.
