Yes Peg, You are so right. It's an epidemic. I've been following it for a time now. Jezebel's website tracks them and it's sad. The only reason that this one came up, is because the reporter asked the student IF she would do a story with her. The student said, no one had ever asked before and really she thought it needed to be heard. Even though she was not 'excited' about telling it. And I think the wapo does a fair article about the author and does take the time to explain FOR the author why she 'didn't do this and/ or that. Of course it was because of the girl. the girl just wants to pass all her studies and forget about all of this .. and then leave and just get on with her life. The students are great, they know. The libertarians over at reason are all puffed up because she didn't talk to the guys, well too bad. The girl dictated the terms. And if anyone has been keeping up with all this rape across our country at universities they would be perhaps a bit more cautious about saying such things. Anyway. I love the author,

Also I thought, What? Reason mag. has been around forever, why don't they go over and interview the rapists? .. HUH? what's the matter with them!
I wish they would do a study with Moms and Dads on 'sons' to see if there is some or something that is apparently the same with these rapists. I mean I don't know if they do it because they can? OR they do it because they want to hurt girls? OR both or something else.. . .It so wrong.
