CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A lawyer from Pepper Pike used a small public company as a personal cash machine to steal millions of dollars from investors and line his own pockets, prosecutors in Manhattan said.
James Margulies, 47, is on trial in what prosecutors describe as a "wholesale looting" of a New-York based automotive chemicals company that left investors, including an Ohio teachers' pension fund, with losses totaling $60 million."
He was found guilty of course. But later on Zazoff used the $250,000 he stole off IAEM's shareholders with Margulies' connivance, and the general lessons he learnt, to conspire with Wemett and other pump and dump artists to this day.
