Hi Moxa,

I'm kind of tired of everyone Monday morning quarterbacking the grand jury process and decision. The St. Louis DA knew he had a reputation of being biased towards supporting law enforcement, so he stepped out of the way and gave the decision totally to the grand jury. This was the right thing to do.

Before announcing the grand jury's decision, he said three VERY IMPORTANT THINGS -- First, the physical evidence was the basis for getting to the facts. Second, how many witnesses fabricated their testimony -- under oath with penalty of perjury and the grand jury had to deal with sorting out fact from fiction. When asked if he was going to file perjury charges, the DA diplomatically said no. Third, although they heard Officer Wilson's testimony, the grand jury didn't put a lot of weight on it for obvious reasons.

Let me also say this -- no one has asked what would have happened if the grand jury had recommended one of the most likely charges -- one of the manslaughter charges. I'll tell you what would have happened -- the troublemaking element of the protesters still WOULD HAVE BURNED FERGUSON TO THE GROUND. They would not have settled for any charges short of murder.

So in summary, all this discussion is a smokescreen to misdirect the discussion of where it should be -- which is why did a seemingly nice kid on his way to trade school decide to shoplift, throw a store manager around like a rag doll, and attack a police officer in his cruiser ??

Notice how this is never even mentioned ? That Michael Brown committed acts that would have sentenced him to 10 - 20 years in prison ? Is this really a problem for "all America" ?

Chris
