The video that Point posted gives me a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. I've seen thousands of laparoscopic surgeries, and I have never seen anything like that before….especially single port! And for those who might point to videos of the daVinci Sp, I am not sure it's as maneuverable since it's wristed and not truly a snake arm.

I personally can't see a road where the SPORT technology NEVER comes to market….this is the next revolutionary step in MIS, IMHO. Even if the current Titan management totally screws up the commercialization, someone will buy this and bring it to market.

In the nephrectomy video, I noticed they were using a second port to perform retraction…just as Daktari and others on here thought they'd have to do. IMHO, having to use a second port for retraction makes far more sense than the third arm on daVinci Sp because of the better angle that you get by being off-axis from the port where the robot enters the abdomen. Good call by the real MDs on the board!
