Personally I wouldn't place either place high on a list of places to visit, but I'm saying that from a standpoint of near total ignorance about Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan is essentially a continuation of Turkey, but with their own independent and horribly corrupt government run by a dictator by the name of Aliyev. But based on their location, the weather should be nice. But people I know at Chevron who've been there wouldn't go back - oh, did I forget to mention Azerbaijan has oil?
