I agree and said in the past that solar economics lack certain costs through its life cycle. One is that the inverter has a life of about 5-8 years and is expensive to replace or repair (if still available or the company exists). What is the cost of decommissioning the installation, removal cost and repair of roof. These should be in the cost study.

As far as large installations (commercial, etc.), labor and benefit costs are higher besides the inverter costs over the life of the installation.
