The Alpha Bank Art Collection comprises more than 5,000 works, primarily of contemporary Greek art. These works come from the Collections of the Credit Bank, the Ionian Bank and the Popular Bank and are representative of Modern Greek art from 1880 to the present. They are paintings by the most prominent Greek artists who have left their mark on the course of Greek art in all its important phases from the time of the School of Munich (1880-1910), the significant mid-war period (1920-1940) and also contemporary artistic creation dated after 1960.
At the same time the Bank possesses one of the most complete collections of Greek prints, which also includes folios, books and material from the domain of the graphic arts.
