If some bio-energy could be produced cheaper........

they would be producing it. It can't w/out subsidies, which creates a false market, and in the end drives up cost. That's why they pay twice what we do in Europe for electricity and gasoline.

VSPC (ahem) partnered with Seema in Thailand for a huge project. The scheme there was to charge more for conventional sources and offset the higher cost of alternatives. Needless to say, the project went nowhere, though bureaus still try and implement such idiotic policies as a way to move alternatives forward.
