positive divergence: When the price and an indicator (such as an oscillator like RSI) move in opposite directions. For instance, if prices reach new highs and stochastics do not, this is a negative divergence and is viewed as bearish. If prices establish new lows and stochastics do not this is a positive divergence and is viewed as bullish.
