longy, in short, anyone can challenge a trademark application. But if you have nothing to back it up with, why bother? If someone wants to trademark Rico Suave and use it for a specific purpose, who cares? Why bother challenging it if you have no use for it. I agree - trademark (for GRCU's intended use) will most likely belong to them after 12-11-14.

The one bright spot is, after the name Rico Suave has been out there for awhile, eventually just about everyone will know what it refers to - GRCU's product. In the world of mmj, Rico Suave will mean GRCU. Period. It's a lot easier to sell a product when the name itself has no competition. Rico Suave = GRCU, regardless of whether it's a drink, chewing gum, candy, etc.

Now keep your fingers crossed that the company handles this properly, as in not always running out of stock, then taking months to get more. Not good.
