If the share price starts to appreciate and looks to go higher management would be smart to exercise their options well in advance of expiration by buying and holding so as to qualify for LT Cap gains on the bulk of the gain. Some of this is dependent on whether the options or ISOs or NSOs. If management exercised options while the share price was still below $2 that would be a very bullish indicator.
