Then those SRGE shares cannot be "borrowed" to naked short sell. The Market Makers can see those orders on the system too as everything is electronic.
That is why MM's sometimes deliberately drop the price of a stock for a few minutes when they're short of shares as they can see the stop losses on the system. They drop the price, take out the sell orders then sell them back to those investors at a higher price.
You can see that pattern in the stock charts of many stocks that run, a huge spike or gap up, then a fall back then carry on then another fall back etc. Each time with higher lows and higher highs.
Any stock whose share price rises at an angle of more than 45 degrees will fall back down as the price rise is price is unsustainable.
This was taught to me by a very good friend who has excellent chart reading skills. He even produce a video on You Tube explaining it all.
It made perfect sense to me once it was explained.
