What I do when replying to a post (at least the ones I'm guessing will have a pretty short life span anyway) is prior to hitting "Submit Post" I'll highlight the text and press Ctrl-C to copy it to clipboard.

That way, it's easy post my vast wisdom with a new message should mods or admins beat me to it.
