"Manufacturing" partner is actually a "design" partner too...

We have a functioning 3D cell, not a panel or solar system. And that is exactly according to plan. A panel is just multiple cells attached together in one unit. The whole idea is to make a low cost panel containing 3D cells, and that means working with a manufacturing partner to design a complete panel containing the 3D cells in a way that be done easily with the machinery and equipment that specific manufacturer already has. In other words, the manufacturer essentially becomes a panel design partner since the panel must be tailored to the equipment of the manufacturer.

So of course this will take some time. It's not just a matter of shopping around for manufacturers and saying "I pick you!" It is a process of Solar3D and the manufacturer working together, as partners, on designing a complete panel.
