Elliot waves are like the conjunction of light in waves. The theory relies on quantum mechanics. If you look at the genesis on Elliot's theory it is based on the spatial illumination of light waves in nature and the correlation to adjunct theories in science including the relative movement of stocks similar to the mathematical consistency of these spatial waveforms. There is a consistent repetition in nature much like the rising and setting sun. All life exists in this spatial context whether in real form or theory. Interpreting the Elliot waveform is much like a surfer getting in 'front' of the wave. There is just an instinctual transition in his (her) mind if the wave is big enough....to big...or just right to ride. Therein catching the 'perfect wave'. There is a lot of human interpretation in the sequencing and transition of the waves. For one you have to be there to catch the wave. I guess the moral of this is....find a beach where you understand the break and look for the perfect wave.
