The Chinese, Cyber security and the American Patents that are vulnerable to theft.

1. Solar power technology

The hackers allegedly stole solar panel technological innovations and manufacturing metrics from Germany-based SolarWorld AG, enabling Chinese solar panel makers to hawk American- and German-developed research that had taken scientists years to bring to fruition. According to the Justice Department, the Chinese hacker Wen Xinyu stole thousands of emails and other files from three senior SolarWorld executives in 2012. Besides giving Chinese companies access to American technology, the information may have allowed the Chinese them to anticipate American regulators. “There were thousands of emails exfiltrated, many with sensitive data that would pose to serve all kinds of unfair advantages,” says Ben Santarris, director of strategic affairs at Solarworld AG.

I for one among many others are aware of the breaches into American Private and government cyber space by foreign countries. This is a growing concern for most and I feel cyber attacks are growing in sophistication and frequency. Are we protected from theft in regards to what we are seeking to bring to commercialization? Can we really expect or believe the Chinese will respect our patent and our vision? I expressed this fear in a post about a month ago and my fear is real. We cant trust that people will play by the rules. I believe China will not accept this breakthrough technology without ulterior motives. I have seen companies that instill trust in a chinese business with a product and the company that provided the rights to produce is being screwed and manipulated. The company I am mentioning is ZBB, look it up. ZBB gave a Chinese company the right to manufacture and sell ZBB's Patented technology. If you look at all the financial reports since they gave china this capability you will see hardly even a dent in revenue boost. I believe china will manipulate and steal this very valuable intellectual property and if its not protected Eg. on the internet; it may already be stollen and could very well be in the process of a make over so they can call it there own.

I believe this is taking so long because of the huge political impact this cell can have. Not only will this cell have grid polarity but it will make our dependence on oil and gas much smaller making us even more independent. Plus all the current solar projects will seek to be retrofitted with the best tech available that means all the projects world wide will want the cheapest most efficient cell on the market. Look at the numbers where are the biggest solar manufactures located and who is selling these arrays to businesses? My point is that we cant trust others with this Tech its just too valuable and world changing. for another country to adopt what we want in regards to patent protection is for another country to submit to this tech and submit to the take over. What will the other countries do with the surplus they have the surplus that is less efficient that cost millions of dollars to manufacture? they will loose millions if SOLAR3D becomes the only owner and provider of this technology. I know we are looking to licensee this tech but I will revert to the ZBB story they did License and they did get a measly one time payment plus a royalty for every unit sold the problem is when you look at the financial statements the people they licensed the tech to claim they have hardly even sold any. this is a crime and it could happen to us if we license to other countries they will be selling millions of units claiming they only sold thousands. what then?
