Still have a printout from a month ago from Medicare.gov comparing 2015 Omega 3 costs (didn't print out brand L costs), here's the data for two plans offered in my state - I am assuming the price diff for generics is due to price negotiations with the provider - prices are retail:

Cigna/CVS:
generic L retail = $188.55 ($15 copay)
Vascepa = $226.74 (not covered)

Aetna/CVS:
generic L retail = $187.10 (T2, $13 copay)
Vascepa = $199.94 (T4, $99.97 copay)

If brand name L is really close to $230 w/o discounting I cannot believe anyone is still buying it!
