Has anyone ever heard the following? A person cannot own a flaw until he acknowledges it. ; and he can't fix it until he owns it( after ACKNOWLEDGING THE FLAW) . And so, filibustering....., stonewalling ...,stalling ....., pouting....., Shifting blame ......And deflecting , are just some of the most overt and commonly attempted , as defenses. Some refer to these as manipulative defenses. And those who do not catch them, are commonly called the manipulated. Wish I could ease or modify that.
