One problem

is that the scammers, while they are scamming, introduce and reinforce the theme "pennystocks are risky and if you can't handle the risk, take your losses like a man and just walk away"

Sounds good in theory, but these, in a significant number of cases, if not the majority of the cases, are not earnest struggling small businesses that failed honorably. They are cases of scheming fraudsters that preyed on novice investors and relied on their trusting nature.

it is akin to looting during a power outage. all bets are off when the power goes out. The 100 mile rule in marriage.

All sleazy and immoral justification to harm your fellow human beings.

Walk away quietly? I hear echoes of "just lay back and enjoy it" in that.

It motivates me to dig deeper because I know someone is being harmed by those people.

My advice: When you have been scammed, tell the world who scammed you and how. Share your knowledge. You paid dearly for an expensive education. Share with your fellow man and save him from the same expense.
