I was riding a bad option on a mortgage stock ready to expire last year, and had the choice to take a huge loss and get out with a couple hundred $$, but didn't, and it expired worthless (though it ran in the money the next day!!). MRIB then kept fluctuating between .0003 and .0013. But on this day the bid-ask was .0001-.0002. I thought why not take the gamble, it seemed to me that somebody was accumalating a large position, while playing a volatile float. I didn't buy, and as you know, the stock peaked at .055 a few months ago. There are a few companies like this, and shells I watch now, but have to be able to sit on those and wait them out.
