My wife loves the idea that we need to be fruit inspectors. IMO here lies the problem, many church goers are not fruit inspectors. Folks assume that just because a person fills a pulpit or teaches a Bible Class they know what is what.

AND....not only that...i have heard many preachers on a several occasions that say they knew a preacher and after being in the pulpit for 10...15...20...years. They made the announcement that they had gotton saved...that all those years they thought they were saved...doing Gods will and work...and then it finally dawned on them that they werent! My preacher has made reference to that of a couple people that he knew in years past that did that. One a preacher and the other a Sunday school teacher for many years and had been an elder for a good many years as well. They finally saw the light and got saved! Kinda blows my mind to think about it...that...someone can believe they are saved but not. But then again...look at the masses of people that go to the Joel Osteen churches...places like Mars Hill and many more. Now of course i cant know anyones heart...BUT...when you sit and listen to all that "Stuff"...people get brained washed into believing they are OK...but...of course they are not. So sad!
