K2electric, I have a tip for you...
Learn how to DUCK! In MMA, IMO, never keep your distance - you're a sitting duck, especially if your opponent has long arms and legs. Crowd your opponent. It will frustrate him. When people get frustrated, they make mistakes. Learn how to fight on the inside. Quick, short snaps to the outside of both of his knees. Kill the knees and you got him.

And always remember, between rounds: Fuku Shiki Kokyu (slow and deep) :)
