Got a pleasant surprise today when I got home. I had signed up for the company’s conference call a week ago or so and when you logged in, it asked for my name and phone number. I gave them my home number at the time.

 
Today I got home and had a message from Jason at Marathon. He said he was calling me as a follow up to me being on the call and just wanted to know if there was anything I needed or if I had any questions. He thanked me for my support on behalf of management, left his number and said call anytime if we can be of help.

 

I have to tell you that I’ve never had anyone from a  company I’m invested in reach out to me like that in 30 years of investing. Granted I don’t really need anything, but it sure made me feel like these guys care about their shareholders and are willing to go the extra mile. It made it clear to me that success to date is not by chance, but because of their consistent efforts.

Bottom line this is a class outfit from top to bottom. They are perfectly aligned with what I care about and that is making me money.
