The HTC appeal has not even been heard yet and there is no scheduled date at this moment. The appeal may not even be heard until sometime early next year. Then it takes then 3 months to decide. Then HTC can request and "en banc" review by the full appeals court rather than the 3 judge panel that hears it first. You are looking at, at the minimum, sometime next spring for a decision on the HTC appeal and that is IF you get lucky and the full appeals court decides not to review the case. If they do you are looking at late 2015 maybe 2016. Then if there is an appeal to the US Supreme Court to try to make legal precedent against patent trolls (PTSC/TPL) you are looking like at a resolution in mid 2016. If the Sup Court hears the case then late 2016-early 2017. Sorry peeps. The law simply crawls along and your would be best to understand the glacial schedule. By the time this is over PTSC is bankrupt plain and simple. I bet TPL ends up owning the entire MMP when PTSC cannot pay its share of the joint licensing entities operating fees. You can bet TPL will not be so stupid as PTSC was to actually loan them money to pay their share.
