CIB Marine Bancshares, Inc. was originally incorporated in the State of Illinois in 1985 as Sidney Bancorporation, Inc., a one-bank holding company headquartered in Sidney, Illinois. In September 1987, a group of investors acquired Sidney Bancorporation and subsequently changed its name to Central Illinois Bancorp, Inc. On August 27, 1999, Central Illinois Bancorp reincorporated as a Wisconsin corporation and changed its name to CIB Marine Bancshares, Inc.
CIB Marine Bancshares, Inc. owns and operates CIBM Bank, which serves communities throughout Central Illinois; Indianapolis, Indiana; and Milwaukee, Wisconsin through its full-service banking offices. CIBM Bank operates under the name “Central Illinois Bank” in its central Illinois markets, and “Marine Bank” in its Indiana and Wisconsin markets.
CIBM Bank offers a full array of traditional banking services, including a broad range of loan products, such as commercial loans, commercial real estate loans, commercial and residential construction loans, one-to-four family residential real estate loans, consumer loans, and commercial and standby letters of credit; acceptance of demand, savings and time deposits; commercial paper and repurchase agreements; and other banking services.

... The third quarter of 2014 also marks the expansion of our Chicagoland banking activity. The addition of our Avenue Mortgage division last year at this time opened the possibility of leveraging their existing client base, mostly in the western suburbs of Chicago. Equally important, the bankers at Avenue Mortgage have personal and other business contacts that we hope to use to build our business there. Furthermore, we have hired an experienced corporate banker whom I have worked with in the past and who has a deep knowledge of the business community in the Chicago market. He will be the foundation upon which we will build our business activity and we will support that activity with a planned opening of a branch in the western suburbs in 2015. 18,135,344 shares outstanding
