that's annoying. I tried buying some VTSI with tradeking a while back and they wouldn't let me. Maybe they would now with the higher trading volume the last few months.

Years ago I switched from TD waterhouse to Ameritrade because they wanted to charge a crazy commission for trades over 5000 shares. Would have cost me like $2000 to liquidate VTSI if I wanted to. Shortly after I transferred my shares the two companies merged and fortunately kept ameritrade's commission structure. It hasn't changed since, no extra hoops.
