For everyone concerned with the progress, I will try to shed some light on the topic. To answer your question pottsville, I don't think the company ever claimed 6 years ago that they finished the product. But lets put that aside and dive in to the explanation of why it is taking "so long".

When it comes to product creation you have to be aware of few different things. There are a lot of different variables at play from equipment, funding, staff, employees, competition, available technology and so on. As a business owner myself, there are certain things that are outside of your control when it comes to product creation and development. Timelines and deadlines are often not met because something doesn't work in the product or is not ready yet for sale, somebody didn't do his/her job properly slowing down product development, or simply there is not enough funding to maintain the speed of the progress. I think most of you will agree with me that selling defective product is not a viable long term customer acquisition technique and should be avoided at all costs.

The reason why product is not ready yet is because it needed refinement to get all of the components small enough that they make out 1/3 the size of a credit card. This unfortunately required a lot of engineering effort, money, and time. Another thing is that the SMME not only had to build it's own components in order to achieve that but also build it's own operating system from scratch. During the development stage certain components changed both at the hardware and software level.

Yes, I have to admit that it is taking longer than I expected and I am pretty sure company as well. It took more time and money in order to develop the final product but here is the thing ladies and gentlemen. The result of all that hard work, waiting, and money spend is the following: SMME has a world class solution at the right time when banks are bleeding from card fraud. And I am glad Chaya strives for high quality.
