Another point that concerns me is the patent. There has only ever been reference made to one patent for the card. If you bother to read the entire document (every investor should) you will find that it was designed to locate your point of transaction and spam you with value adding advertising by relaying your location and purchase history to a central database. You may recal the entire lawsuit was lost on the fact that MasterCard don't have such a database. (Or at least it couldn't be proven)

Unless someone can prove me wrong, a credit card is not patentable, nor is the fingerprint sensor, the battery or the processor, all of which are outsourced. The connection to a central database may be patentable, but the banks don't use it. There maybe other patents that Colin possesses, but I guarantee they are not in Smartmetrics name and none of us will benefit from them.

If there is a card, and I hope there is, it will have to compete on its merits, not on patent protection.
