there is a big difference between dead and dying produce. For Example, I bought 2 packages of spring mix salad at stop and shop this Monday, we have a little less than one left. Its been 5 days since I bought the product. It is still fresh considering it was probably harvested 7 days ago probably coming from out of the country...

Do you get where I am going here.

They pick strawberries they are sent to local state retail locations. They pick the product they sell the same day, next day or following day. You dont get more fresh than that.
