I had the exact same problem ..especially suggestions to install java..flash player..etc..sometimes those installations were rather forcible where they ask mme where to save the exe files on my computer..sometimes i was deflected from boards to some weird websites dealing in furniture etc..something is not right..I agree with you .. i spoke to all the admins and did not get a satisfactory answer..
