My best educated guess is the huge senior population in Florida who are on the fence on a lot of issues they do not comprehend. They sit home for much of the day and probably see negative ads on the TV. Someone has to pay attention to those or money would t be spent on them. Unfortunately, whatever and however the money was spent it seems to have swayed enough votes (if you trusts polls) to make it a contest. A couple months ago, it looked like a layup. Now it looks more like a 3 point shot. We will know soon enough.
