Indeed Wialan is peddling overpriced and antiquated technology. All Wialan is doing is assembling off the shelf parts that any WiFi engineer could replicate. There is literally no barriers to entry to what Wialan is offering because as I said, all Wialan is doing is slapping together off the shelf antiquated parts and trying to sell these antiquated AP's to marinas and or other unsophisticated buyers. I mean seriously, Wialan AP's are using a 500 MHz AMD GEODE processor. Didn't even think AMD still manufactured these relics but hey, these processors are so old Wialan probably gets them for next to nothing. See the link below.....even these cheap linksys routers have processors that will run circles around the processors Wialan uses.
