Wow. The i4i brief is spectacular, and almost scathing. How much pull do they have? Never considered making an argument concerning innovation and set standards - this is an extremely persuasive argument. Patent reform is such a hot button topic because it is supposed to enhance innovation - i4i argues that this court decision threatens to curtail innovation because "common sense" standards applied by appellate justices lack uniformity, thus weakening the security of patents.

The argument against the decision by Mayer and Wallach has profoundly more common sense than their decision.
