He olive Impact System Treatment Cost vs Cytosorb
According to a linked article with the Forbes story on Hemolife, their Impact Sytem costs $3,800 per treatment and three treatments are required for each sepsis patient. So that is $11,400 compared to $1,500 for Cytosorb assuming three filters are also used to treat the patient. Big cost advantage for Cytosorbents assuming an equal outcome.

You are correct sir- Like most other competitors they use a "hemofiltration" system. We use a hemoperfusion system. Thus the advantage. Although they make claims to its effective & safe usage, the "IMPACT SYSTEM" is quite expensive and cumbersome. It includes three in-line filters to clean & route the blood back to the patient, and last pricing I saw was $3,800 per treatment for at least four days- Certainly someone to keep an eye on, but from both a cost & ease of use, I would think we'd be the preferred choice- A bit more information on them at www.mainbridgehp.com
